Women's participation in sports has a history of defying expectations. Just 50 years ago, women were prohibited from entering races due to concerns about their health and femininity. But pioneers like Katherine Switzer and Billie Jean King fought for gender equality, challenging the norms. However, sports still perpetuate a male-dominated narrative. Currently, women represent only 7% of media coverage, and only 3.2% of sports coverage is primarily dedicated to female athletes.

This magazine is dedicated to all the strong women who have been forced to sit on the sidelines. With Sideline, we aim to create a platform that celebrates women in every field of sports and seeks to address the challenge of gender inequality.
